What Are Venting Filters?

Membrane Solutions® VentPure™ Venting Filters are designed for obstructing bacterial, particles or moisture when venting in different applications.

Sterile venting of bioreactors, fermentation tanks, media flasks, and carboys. Sterile gas purge of cell culture vessels or filling vessels. In-line sterilization of and particulate removal from air and gases. Obstruct moisture to protect equipment.

The filters are basically incorporates a hydrophobic membrane filter in a polypropylene housing, provide excellent thermal and chemical compatibility .

MS® VentPure™ Venting Filters are available in different membrane media of hydrophobic PTFE membrane filter, hydrophobic PVDF membrane filter and hydrophobic PES membrane filter, in diameter 13mm, 25mm, 50mm, with the pore size of 0.22µm or 0.45µm and different connections.

What Are Features of MS® Venting Filters?

l Manufacturing process certified to ISO 9001.

l Optimized hydrophobic PTFE membrane filter, hydrophobic PVDF membrane filter and hydrophobic PES filter provide superior air and liquids flow rates.

l The special designed housing is light weight of 50mm venting filters only 22g to avoid the weighing down or kinking the tubing.

l 0.2um filters are with high bacterial retention (LRV>7), and integrity tested with bubble point testing or water breakthrough testing.

l Sterile individual packed filters are ready to use.  

l PTFE membrane filter, PVDF membrane filter and polypropylene housing offers broad chemical compatibility.

l Irradiation stability (20~35kGy)

l Pass the integrity testing and remain same performance

l Autoclave 10 times in 121℃ and 15min, Membrane Solutions venting filters , all passed the water breakthrough test, meeting the non- destructive integrity test parameters.
